What is the white grease on the RFloXa fork lower tube? Is your fork leaking oil?

Some Emoto riders will notice that there is a ring of white grease on the fork lower tube when they receive their new RFloXa fork, and their first concern is that the fork seals are leaking, causing fork oil to seep out.

Actually, this white grease is not fork fluid oil, but a lubricating grease that is specially applied to the seals during assembly at our factory. All RFloxa forks undergo a rigorous damping test before leaving our factory to ensure optimal performance. During the fork test on the damping machine, some of the grease will naturally spill out and adhere to the fork lower tube. This is normal and does not indicate a problem with the fork seals.

If you find grease on the fork lower tube, there is no need to worry or take special action. Simply wipe with a clean rag to remove the residue without affecting the fork's performance or sealing.
