Do you know the triple clamp of the front fork also affects your bike’s handling performance? By adjusting the height of the triple clamp on RFloXa front fork, you can adapt to different riding styles and achieve varied riding experiences.
What is the triple clamp height and why is it important for your ride?
The triple clamp height refers to the height at which the triple clamp protrudes above the top of the fork tube. This height influences your bike’s steering responsiveness, front-end stability, and overall handling characteristics.
To improve control and agility:
Adjust the triple clamp position to be 5mm to 10mm below the fork top cap.
This makes steering more agile and responsive—ideal for narrow, technical trails.
To enhance stability at high speeds:
Set the triple clamp approximately 2mm below the fork top cap.
This improves straight-line stability when riding fast downhill or on open roads.
Procedure:
- Use a torque wrench to loosen the triple clamp bolts.
- Measure the distance from the fork crown top to the edge of the triple clamp (ensure the height is consistent on both sides).
- Adjust the clamp height according to your riding style needs (5-10mm for handling focus, ~2mm for high-speed stability).
- Tighten the bolts to the torque value specified on the clamp.
- Take a test ride to confirm handling performance and make fine adjustments if necessary.
By properly adjusting your RFloXa triple clamp height, you can fully unleash the potential of RFloXa suspension technology.
